At SmileDirectClub, we’re all about making people smile. That’s why we’ll refund your risk-free $79.00 impression kit or SmileShop scan if the dentist or orthodontist determines our invisible aligners aren’t a fit for you.
Your custom-made SmileDirectClub invisible aligners can be returned within the first 30 days of your smile journey if you’re not happy for any reason. It’s that simple. And we’re that confident. Just remember, you’re responsible for any shipping charges when returning your invisible aligners. The 30-day time period begins the day your invisible aligner shipment is delivered.
You want a straighter smile, and we want to help you get it. To achieve your desired results, you must closely follow the smile plan prescribed by your licensed dental professional:
- Wear your aligners all day and night, except when eating or drinking.
- Register your aligners on your customer account at SmileDirectClub.com.
- Respond to each 90-day check-in by sending an email with the requested photos.
If at the end of your plan, having followed these guidelines, you haven’t achieved the smile you love, contact us so the dentist or orthodontist can re-evaluate your results. If your re-evaluation is approved, you may be eligible for additional aligners to continue your journey. Don’t forget: You need to notify us within 30 days of completing your smile plan for the warranty to remain valid.
Please follow these steps when returning your purchase:
- Pack your unused items in the original packaging.
- Include all original packing materials, manuals and accessories.
- Let us know you’re planning to return your aligners by emailing Support@SmileDirectClub.com with your order number.

- For proof of delivery, please use a trackable carrier like FedEx or UPS
Once we receive and process your return, we’ll email you to let you know your refund has been issued. You’ll typically see your refund on your credit card statement within 5 to 10 days of processing depending on your financial institution.
If you received a faulty product and need to return it for the same item, please call our Customer Care team at (800) 848-7566 to request a replacement.
